Rossendale Aviation Society

Annual Print Photographic Competition - 10th January 2007

This competition has grown in scale in recent years, and now has more entries than the slide competition. This is a trend that will no doubt continue, and as a result the Committee have decided to have a visiting expert judge in future. There will continue to be two Classes, “Ground” and “Flying”; each with its own Society trophy. Members can enter a maximum of 5 prints in each class. Entries should be of aviation interest, and be taken by the entrant in the previous 12 months. Maximum print size is A4 (210mm x 297mm), and computer manipulation is allowed. This latter point has been discussed at length by the Committee. It has been decided to allow manipulation, because it is now available to many more photographers than in the past, and is relatively easy to do. Also it is effectively impossible to ban it, as good manipulation is virtually impossible to detect!! To enter just hand your entries to Bob Fairclough (or any Committee member) at  Society meetings, or post to Bob at 23 Beardwood Brow, Blackburn BB2 7AT.  Last entries at the meeting on 20th December, please.
