Annual Photographic Competitions



Both the projected images and print photographic competitions will be held on Wednesday, 16th December, 2020.

Projected digital image competition

Please submit your entries to Martin Powell by the
2nd December 2020 on a disc, pen drive, or by email. You may enter up to 5 images in each of the categories (ground or flying). As a result of the current pandemic, any pertinent images can be submitted, however, they must not include photographs that have previously finished in the top three of any previous Society competition. Files must be jpegs no larger than 1024 x 768 pixels, with an sRGB or RGB colour profile, saved as maximum quality images.

If e-mailing your entries, please post the entries on separate e-mails to avoid clogging up yours and our servers. If you have any problems please contact Martin Powell for assistance.

Summary

Images must not have previously finished in the top three of any previous Society competition;

A maximum of five entries in each section - 'Ground' or 'In the Air';

Images should be jpegs and submitted, or e-mailed, to Martin Powell by 2nd December, 2020, with individual file sizes not greater than 1MB.


Print competition

Please submit your entries to Martin Powell by the 2nd December 2020. You may enter up to 5 images in each of the categories (ground or flying). As a result of the current pandemic, any pertinent images can be submitted, however, they must not include photographs that have previously finished in the top three of any previous Society competition. The prints must be different images to those entered in the Projected Images competition. The maximum print size accepted is A4 and please ensure that entries are clearly identified.

Summary

Images must not have previously finished in the top three of any previous Society competition;

Prints should be made from images not entered in the digital image competition;

A maximum of 5 entries in each section: Ground or In the Air;

Prints should be unmounted and not more than A4 size;

Entries to be submitted to Martin Powell by 2nd December, 2020.

Please Note
Entrants to the print section must also provide digital files with their entries (as well as their prints), in the same format as above. The prints will be judged as prints and not digital images, however, as the meeting will be virtual, all images will be presented as part of the 'Zoom' presentation.

All entrants maintain ownership / copyright of their submitted images, if we would like to publish any any of the images on one of our digital platforms, we will write to you beforehand to seek your permission first.

The definition of a 'ground image' is depicted by any part of the aircraft touching the ground.
